My name is Brandt Barnes and I am a Junior at Rogers State University in Claremore Oklahoma. I am currently enrolled in the fall class of Marketing for Entrepreneurs and am creating this blog for this class.
I am going to write a marketing plan for my mothers business ran in Bentonville, Arkansas. Her company sales bedding and throws to Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Target. She started her office by herself out home in our computer room 8 years ago and now has 10 people under her at the office and is located in a 2 building office. She also has many more employees off site that wait to do their work to hear what her decision is. When she informed me that they don't have a marketing program I wanted to write one for her.

That is great that you are helping your mother out on her marketing plan. I found that we learn alot more if we relate the context in class with our everyday lives.
ReplyDeleteDang brandtyour mom is like the definition of a true entrepreneur... but now im sure you can teach her a few things about business man, she has set the bar pretty high for you my brother... hey no pressure lol!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a good thing, and I'm sure she will appreciate it. At the business luncheon we had last week, the entrepreneur at my table created a successful business without a business plan. I guess all that means is, if they've done well without one, they're sure to do better yet with one. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteMy plan is for my familys co to. It makes it so much better to be able to talk to a family member about a company then someone else
